About me. Hmm. I am a girlie geek. I love makeup, everything about it makes me smile. I love all things electronic.
Obviously, I love to write. This has been a passion of mine, forgotten for a time, since I was a little girl.
I have been described as anything from compassionate to mysterious. It’s true, there is a depth to me that I have not allowed anyone to reach the bottom of. Probably never will, but that’s okay with me at last.
I am a devoted mother to my children and sometimes to other peoples children. I love them so and would do anything in the world for any and all of them.
I am a cat lover. You will come to know the antics and dog-like actions of my Russian Blue, Addy, as I am sure I will have plenty of opportunities to tell stories with her as the star. Crazy kittie.
I love Harley-Davidson motorcycles and love to ride. I am part biker chick, this part of me is unknown to many and well known to those I am close to. (I guess I can hide it well, I dunno…)
I like to review products of varying types. It is fun, I can share my opinion with others about things that interest me, and sometimes I get free stuff!
I will be communicating about issues that affect my life. Health issues are present on a daily basis for me. I know quite a lot about the conditions I have because the human body fascinates me. I had planned on becoming a nurse, unfortunately that is not what is meant to be. It’s very ironic, but I will just take that passion in another direction by helping others who struggle with the same issues, just in a different way.
If you have ANY of the following conditions please follow me and message me. If not, feel free to follow and message me anyway π
Chiari Malformation
Syringomyelia
Fibromyalgia
Sleep Apnea (Obstructive and/or Central)
Depression of any type
Anxiety of any type
Arthritis of any type
Insomnia
Chronic Fatigue
These are some conditions I know all too well. Any other types of conditions you need help with, I will be happy to tell you what I know, learn more about it, and direct you to the proper resources π you are NEVER alone in what you are facing.

Hi I love your blog,
I have nominated you for a “Liebster blog award”.
The Liebster Award is very cool and interactive community that helps connect bloggers with other bloggers. It’s a way to promote new blogs that have less than 200 followers. Liebster in German means sweets, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute endearing, and welcome.
The nominees get to share facts about themselves, answer some fun questions from the person who nominated them and then nominate the blogs they love !
It’s kind of like a tag.
The regard is finding new awesome blogs and making new friends !
Please see how you nominate your favourite blogs on my homepage aHousewife.com
http://www.ahousewife.com/page6/page17/index.html
Look forward to read your blog in the future

Cat, Renee here (Life in the Boomer Lane). I have Scheuermann’s Disease and spina bifida. At age 50 I had spinal fusion and instrumentation down the length of most of my spine. I now have exercise- induced exhaustion and have had knee replacement, both due to the titanium rods. I have lost 2.5 inches of height so far. I am grateful every single day to be here, to be relatively pain free and to be able to live my life without giving up what is most important to me. Please send me your mailing address. Send to lifeintheboomerlane@gmail.com. Thanks!

November 27th, 2013 at 9:27 am
Thank you so much! π your blog is great and I really relate with my illnesses.
November 27th, 2013 at 11:21 am
You are welcome. I am glad you relate but sorry that you have them in the first place.
I just had my massage and am trying to get plenty of water down. Last week I drank some water, ate dinner, then fell asleep. Woke up achy all over probably from the lactic acid. So I am sipping a cup of hot water and will see how many I can get down me tonight. No matter how tired or relaxed I get, I have got to stay up long enough to get plenty of water down. That is the downside to having my massage at 4 p.m. Next week we are doing it at 2 so I have a few more hours to get enough down me.
November 27th, 2013 at 5:37 pm
I need to try that… the water thing I mean. I can’t tolerate massages… I tried once and was nearly crawling up the walls from the pain!

Wow, thank you so much! I must say I haven’t posted much recently… which gives me good reason to post more before you’re done reading!
January 28th, 2014 at 10:43 am
I’m a former biker chick too. BMW R850R. I rode all over the US and Canada. On your latest post I see that you are struggling. I am so sorry. I have some resources that you may find to be of interest on my blog pepperboyer.wordpress.com. They work on a cellular level which means they correct the source of the problem. On an upcoming post I will explain about my latest visit with my Dr. and how he fixed my sleeping problem and allergy to moonlight. I know these techniques could help you. Please know there is hope.

Yes, sorry I didn’t leave a comment… as i was typing, my phone died! I have an appointment with a geneticist on Tuesday, so I’m a little nervous about that. It was really good to read your post earlier, I always enjoy them π
March 27th, 2014 at 5:47 pm
You’ve been very quiet online the past few months, and I just wanted to write and say I’ve noticed and have missed your visits to my blog. I hope you’re not in too horrible a patch, but just in case I wanted to send you lots of healing hugs and hope to see you back soon. Jak x
March 28th, 2014 at 11:40 pm
Thank you sweetheart. I’ve been going through hell but I’m coming back out slowly. I’m out of state right now but will start getting back into my blogging/visiting routine soon. I miss it and will come back hitting it hard I promise!
Your comment touched my heart and definitely gave me a bit more faith that there is still humanity out there in a time when it feels like there is none. Hugs and much positive energy, Kat

Hah! We’re cat people too (okay, wereβa bit between cats right now). And The Spouse has a few of those things too, but she also copes. (Tough cookies, Spice … is it Spice, or Spouses?) (Do mice live in hice or mouses live in houses?). Wishing you the very best of luck, hang in there.
May 18th, 2014 at 10:07 pm
Haha! Spice!!! I hope your spouse is doing well. These conditions are definitely not fun, and at times very frustrating! Hugs to her…

Hi! You have a very beautiful cat π
I also want to get a cat but my mom won’t allow me says I won’t clean up after it (Let’s face it that’s true no matter how much I say I would) π
October 3rd, 2014 at 9:12 am
Thank you π Cats are definitely a big responsibility, and before you get one, you must make sure you will be prepared to care for and love him or her for the duration of its lifespan. I’m sure you will be able to have one or more when you are really ready, but in the meantime there are plenty of articles, videos, pictures and cute memes of cats online! (As I’m sure you’re well aware of haha) Also, you could consider volunteering at an animal shelter in your area to get your “kitty fix”! π
October 3rd, 2014 at 1:58 pm
Have you ever taken care of pregnant cat??She’s just so much work!A wild cat a while ago came into our house and found itself a cozy corner in our house to give birth to little kittens..It was so cool taking care of the litttle kittens and the cat for those few days after which she left who knows where.
October 3rd, 2014 at 2:18 pm
Aww… no, I haven’t had that pleasure. I bet it was sweet!
October 3rd, 2014 at 5:56 pm
oh yeah it was..It as long ago I must be 13-14 and my cousin found it just hiding in a corner on our terrace..It gave birth to two kittens one was white as snow so we named it snowy and other was kind of brownish we named it sandy it wouldn’t let us near them but we’d watch them playing from a little distance and feed them all from a distance π
